I enjoy auto racing and most of my students are boys, but even the girls thought this one was cool!

I got a checkered flag windsock and hung it from the ceiling then on the bulletin board I made an oval race track, and found race car note pads, which I put in different positions on the track and put each child's name on one.  I got a checkered flag border and mice holding checkered flags.  I printed trophies and race car drivers from my computer, and printed out a banner that says "We're on the fast track to learning."
