You might look on the web/ask the ring if anyone knows how to make the plastic milk jug bird feeders. They are easy, perfect for younger kids (although adults need to help with the cutting)and should last because they are plastic. Also, they need to be refilled regularly, so the kids get a kick out of doing taht themselves. Sorry - I can't remember how to make this one ;-)
