When I worked in a daycare we did a theme on nutrition. I used an old
checkered table cloth and stapled it to the bulletin board for a background.
Then I stapled real paper plates and utensils cut from construction paper to the
board arranged to look like a table setting. We also used plastic cups but it
looked fine without them. We cut pictures of food from magazines and used the
bulletin board as an instructional prop for circle discussion times to discuss
healthy eating habits. Everyone loved it and it was a huge inexpensive teaching
aid.
