I used this idea for my Fall bulletin board.  The children made the corncobs from a 3x6 piece of brown construction paper.  Then they dipped their fingers in yellow paint to make the kernels.  When they were dry I formed the paper into a cylinder and stapled the ends together and added to the corn stalks!
