I am a preschool teacher at a day care and to help the children
bring in books for our book club I set up a section of my wall with contact
paper (to look like a table cloth) made a large picture of a stew pot with a
cook. On the pot I wrote "Stirring up our imaginations" then all around the pot
I put different vegetables. a spoon and ladle (I contacted them with a small
piece of clear contact so I could write in them and then they could be removed
when the month was over). When the child brought a book in for me to read
I put the name of the book the author and the child's name on one of the
vegetables, spoon or ladle. It brings proud smiles and the books never
stop.
